Welcome to Tulfes

Tulfes is a little holiday village. Situated 922 metres above sea level at the foot of the Glungezer Mountain, the village is notable for its unspoilt natural scenery and traditions, genuine hospitality, and its pure air and crystal-clear drinking water.

Part of the Hall-Wattens tourist region, Tulfes offers everything that holidaymakers and those seeking relaxation require. There are plenty of excellent destinations for excursions, from the historic old town in Hall to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds and the Münzerturm tower in Hall, and the pilgrimage church in Absam.

There is also much to explore on day excursions to the neighbouring city of Innsbruck: the Golden Roof, the Bergisel Ski Jump, or the Tivoli Stadium which was used in the European Football Championship. Cultural and sporting highlights make the Hall-Wattens region into an attractive holiday and tourism destination for those who are looking for something special.

A wide range of shopping opportunities, hospitable accommodation, be it a farm, a boarding house, a holiday apartment or hotel, and a variety of gastronomic highlights provide yet more convincing arguments for a visit to the Hall-Wattens region.

In summer, fans of sport and nature can choose from a wide range of activities: fantastic walks, e.g. along the Zirbenweg pine trail, various mountain bike and climbing routes, and crystal-clear bathing locations ensure that a stay here is enjoyable and relaxing.

In winter, skiers, snowboarders, bobsleigh riders and above all ski tourers are enchanted by the magnificent skiing mountain. There is also something else that not should be missed – fun on a 'Klumper'. 'Klumper' are a type of one-bladed toboggan – and unique to Tulfes in the Tyrol. This entertaining winter sport is organised by a 'Klumper' club in Tulfes – and for guests there is a weekly opportunity to risk a descent on one of these funny little vehicles.
